John Legend and The Roots-"Wake Up Everybody" feat. Common and Melanie Fiona

When I taught elementary school, the music teacher asked me to pick a song for graduating 6th glass. My song of choice, "Wake Up Everybody", by Harold Melvin and The Blue Notes. She asked me if I had a copy of the song and I gave her the strangest look and responded, "But of course". The kids enjoyed singing it and that moment will always be locked in their minds. 


In saying that, the first official single from the John Legend and The Roots Wake Up! album just premiered over the weekend. "Wake Up Everybody", features Common and Melanie Fiona. This is the only song on the album with guest appearances. Album is said to drop in September.
