Producer Mark Ronson-"Bang Bang Bang" feat. Q-Tip and MNDR (video)

Now Mark Ronson is not a household name, but this is one producer who is under the radar. His past projects included collabos with Sean Paul, Nate Dogg, and Ghostface Killah just to name a few. Well Mark recently put out his video for his upcoming project, Record Collection. "Bang Bang Bang" is the first single and features Q-Tip and MNDR. Always good to hear a Native Tongue.

Big Boi-"Lookin' 4 Ya" feat. Andre 3000 and Sleepy Brown

Big Boi new album is facing industry bullsh.. The problem is Big Boi has some tracks on his new album that features Andre 3000 (and the music reminds us of OutKast) and Dre is not a Jive artist. Nonetheless, I'm sure Big Boi will get the legalities together, so the fans can hear his first solo album. Whatever he has to workout I'm sure he will, so fans can get their 'Southernplayalistic Cadillac Funky' music they have been craving for. In the meantime, here is another leak off of the Sir Lucious Left Foot:The Son of Chico Dusty LP. This track is called, "Lookin 4 Ya" and features Andre 3000 and Sleepy Brown. This track probably won't be on the LP, but we can imagine what could have been. Gotta love these guys creativity. Don't forget to grab the FREE DOWNLOAD.

Well Rah D is one of the hardest working men in the business and since I've had my hands on this single, I figure why not share with the world. I mean 'Spread Love is the Brooklyn Way', correct? Well let me spread some love this Black Music Month and give away this 'rare' Raheem Devaughn track. Download at the 'down arrow' icon. This was off of his Art of Noise mixtape. I picked up this mixtape when I saw him at B.B. King's in NYC back in '07 and this cut is still one of my favorites to this day. Enjoy. Tanya Morgan Drops a Video for "Headphone Rock"

ST has been telling everyone about one of my favorite groups right now, Tanya Morgan. TM dropped The Sandwich Shop an LP featuring Donwill and Von Pea 2/3 of TM where the two put some lyrics over Questlove's beats. Now Donwill and Von Pea drop a video for "Headphone Rock" which features Che Grand. The video takes place somewhere deep in Brooklyn and in somewhere between seasoning hamburgers with Goya seasoning and drinking Pabst beer (lol), Donwill, Von Pea, and Che Grand were able to face the camera and let off some ryhmes. Nelson Mandela Unable to Attend Opening Ceremony Due to Family Death

Nelson Mandela was unable to attend the opening ceremony for The World Cup, because his great-granddaughter died in a car accident. The Nelson Mandela Foundation said Zenani Mandela died in a one-car accident after attending Thursday’s World Cup kickoff concert at the Orlando Stadium. It appears the driver of the car was driving under the influence of alcohol. Read More.......

De La Soul to Headline this Summer's Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival

NYC Brooklyn Bodega's sixth annual Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival will be headlined by De La Soul. Other performers on the bill for this year include Smif-N-Wessun, Black Moon, Curren$y, Fashawn, Skyzoo, the Money Making Jam Boys, along with others. This is a lineup like that is really worth any price, just $15. This is a weeklong event as the festival runs from July 5-10th, with the performances on the 10th. More info at the jumplink below.

LA, NYC, and DC Get Ready for Ms. Lauryn Hill's Return to the Stage

So ST took part in the rumor mill and what do you know, some rumors do turn out to be true. So now word is Lauryn Hill will be on the "Rock the Bells" Tour this summer, but only in selected citites. Which cities will she perform, that has yet to be set in stone as this line seems to change often. However I think this is the final line-up and I will be happy to see Lauryn back on the stage where she belongs. Word is she will perform her whole album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. The tour kicks off in LA on 8/21 and will end in DC on 8/29. NYC's date is 8/28 and Lauryn Hill is said to be the headline of these 3 venues.

Nas and Damien Marley's "Distant Relatives" Tour Hits Houston

Only a true fan gets out to see a performance during the week. Especially a Hip Hop performance. Well this past Tuesday, I had the pleasure to catch Nas and Damien Marley perform here in Houston. Now I've seen Nas plenty of times, but this was the first time I've seen anyone named MARLEY perform and this show exceeded my expectations. Shouts out to (weworemasks) for the quick upload.

Jordan-New Cover Guy for "NBA 2K11"

The best basketball player that my eyes have seen has never been on any of the numerous basketball video games that I played in my lifetime. Well now #23 Michael Jordan was named the cover athlete for the upcoming "NBA 2K11" (2K Games) video game. According to his business manager, this is the first time that Jordan will be on the cover of a game in the United States.

Jordan won six NBA championships, five MVP awards and was a 14-time All Star, but there was one honor that had avoided his grasp -- until now. Now I’m wondering which artists are going to be on the game soundtrack. Check out more at the jump.
