Christmas Communion May Have Left Churchgoers with Hepatitis A

WOW! Churchgoers in Long Island, NY were informed that they may have been exposed to Hepatitis A, if they attended the church's Christmas Day Mass as a person involved in the Communion process tested positive for Hepatitis A. Not knocking anyone, but I never understood the drinking from the same cup thing. What was cool, then doesn't mean its cool now. To each is own and we wish all who participated the best.

Judge Overturns Conviction After a 30 Year Jail Stay

Cornelius Dupree Jr was in prison from 1979 to 2010 as part of a 75-year sentence for aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon. The 51-year-old man was paroled last year in July. DNA results proved his innocence about a week later. SMH at this one. A judge has now officially overturned Mr. Dupree's conviction.

Vivica Fox Engaged to 27-Year-Old Club Promoter

NY Post is reporting that Vivica Fox got engaged to her boyfriend Omar "Slim" White during the holidays. The Atlanta club promoter gave the COUGAR an 8-karat ring. Now I say 'cougar', because Vivica is 46 and Omar "Slim" is 27. I guess some ladies would say, "You Go Girl"!! Read more (here).

We got word that the Little Brother members, 9th Wonder and Phonte squashed their beef for the New year, but Lil Kim is not about to lay down for the New Year. During Lil Kim's New Year's Eve performance in Springfield, Mass. she calls out Nicki Minaj and Keyshia Cole for the single, I Ain't Thru, believing the  the song is aimed at her and Mary J Blige. New Jazmine Sullivan Music-"I'm Not A Robot"

If you haven't heard, Jazmin Sullivan took to the Twitter to announce that she is taking a break from music after her sophomore CD.  The 23 year old songstress says she needs time to herself, but thanks her fans.

"i’m making an official announcement that i am taking a break from music. i’m trying to figure out who i am… w/out a mike, paper or pen. i promised myself when it wasn’t fun anymore i wouldn’t do it. and here i am.

i’m not saying i wont ever sing again in my life becuz i dont believe that. but in this moment… rt now… i got some things to figure out.

i love u all and appreciate u soooooo much. u have no idea how much u’ve inspired me and fed my ego. but the truth is that i have to believe in me whether you all do or not. and thats what i’m lookin for. that belief in myself. me. I. i love us. thanks for being here for me and riding with me on this journey. let us continue." 

Now ST got its hands on some unreleased Jazmin music, so enjoy, because this may be the last we hear from her in a while. The name of this track is called, "I'm Not A Robot" (which is probably how she feels now) and it was produced by Salaam Remi. 

Phonte' Tweets Little Brother Beef is "Squashed"

This is the way to start off the New Year. The group Little Brother parted ways in 2007 after years of making great music, but last night Phonte' Tweeted some great news, "Took 4 years, 2 plates of food and 6 hours of convo, but we squashed it. #brotherhood" The Tweet was in reference to him and producer 9th Wonder. Now LB fans don't get too excited, because this does not mean we'll get a hot off the press new LB album. Though they have squashed their beef, this is not a LB reunion. Give it time, but this is a good start.

Former NBA Player Nick Van Exel's Son Facing Murder

Son of former NBA star Nick Van Exel's son has been charged with murder. Nickey Van Exel (20) is facing murder charges after the shooting a friend, Bradley Eyo, a college senior scheduled to graduate this spring. Read more (here).

Chuck Berry Collapses While Performing On Chicago Stage

Chuck Berry (84 years of age) passed out on a piano while performing in a pack house Chicago concert. The legendary and devoted guitarist attempted to pick up his guitar and continue the show when he awoke, but he was taken off stage and taken for medical attention. Read more (here).
