Texas Cheerleader Who Refused to Cheer for Her Alleged Rapist is Taking Her Case to The Supreme Court
Now this is Crazy!! Sports is bigger than the state itself in Texas. In 2008 a 16-year-old cheerleader in Silsbee, Texas says she was raped by an athlete at a party. The suspect, identified as Rakheem Bolton, eventually pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault and received a suspended sentence. The two continued to attend high school together.
Then in February, the girl was cheering at a basketball game when Bolton took to the free throw line. While the rest of her squad cheered, she chose to sit out. She was then kicked off the team.
The girl and her parents sued the school district claiming she was just exercising her right to freedom of speech, but a federal judge dismissed the suit calling her a "mouthpiece" for the school with no right to remain silent in protest. The federal court also ruled the suit was frivolous and the girl's family is responsible for reimbursing the school district over $45,000 in legal fees. Yep, get raped, take a stand, and pay $45K in legal fees.
Now the parents are taking their case to the supreme court. I expect the school district to pay out big for this mistake. ST will keep you posted. Read more (here).

Terrelle Pryor and Four Ohio State Teammates Will Miss 5 Games
Guess Ohio State's Terrelle Pryor will enter the draft. News reports says QB Terrelle Pryor and four of his teammates will be suspended for 5 games next season. Reason, for selling OSU paraphernalia with their signatures on it in exchange for Tattoos. I hate some of these NCAA rules. These kids can't even barter a deal without getting in trouble, DAYUM!!! Read more (here).
NY JETS Coach Rex Ryan's 'Foot-Fetish' Video Surfaces
"Here we go again", The New York Jets are in the news for all the wrong reasons. A video of Coach Rex Ryan hit the 'nets about him having a foot-fetish experience with a lady who appears to be his wife. Now this is comedy, in NY they're calling it "FootGate", but who really cares if his wife's feet interest him? Anyhow, check out video (here).

Why Are We Still Supporting R. Kelly?
Now this is an interesting article, because it simply asks a great question, "Why are we still supporting R. Kelly?" Even though R. Kelly has been cleared in the legal end, there is still the 'Court of Public Opinion' and this is a good question to ask the public. Here at ST we posted some of Kellz music simply because, 'The music is too good not to post". When ST heard, When A Woman Loves, we supported it, because the tune was awesome. Was there any reservations? Sure, but he's been cleared in the court of law, the fans want to hear his music, so here at ST we'll always support good music. Read more here....

Eric Roberson gives us the new video for "She" off of his album, Music Fan First. The visual is just as awesome as the words written. Two-time Grammy-Nominee and director Rolando Sanchez did their thing here. Enjoy and hopefully Erro will win a Grammy this go round. Nobody more deserving in our opinion.

Kobe Bryant's New Deal with Turkish Airlines Sparks Outrage Among Lakers Fans
Kobe Bryant hit a bump while trying to get some of that international money. Kobe recently inked a deal with Turkish Airlines to be the face of their airlines, since they have announced a new route from Istanbul and Los Angeles. No biggie you would think, but the problem here is LA has a large Armenian population (many who are Lakers fans) and they are upset at the Turkish government for refusing to officially admit genocide took place with a massacre starting in 1915 against some ethnic groups. The most famous of the Armenian LA, The Kardashians. The Turkish government not accepting responsibility for the genocide while many scholars say took place, has been a source of tension between Turkey and many of its Western allies (America included).
Canada recognized the mass killings as 'genocide' in 2004 and when Kobe was in Toronto this past Sunday, the protesters were outside the arena. The U.S. has not adopted a similar resolution though the matter is being presented to Congress. This is not going to go away, so expect the Armenian people to show up to more Lakers games with their signs. Read more here.....
